Help us share a piece of local history with visitors from around the corner and around the world by becoming a W.K. Kellogg Manor House volunteer. The renovated Manor is open for tours and special events. Anyone interested in learning about our local history, W.K. Kellogg and his legacy, is invited to become a W.K. Kellogg Manor House Docent. Training sessions will include learning about house construction, W.K. Kellogg's life and tips on how to give a tour to prepare you for sharing the house with the community. In addition to giving tours there are numerous opportunities to volunteer at the Manor House including greeting, cashiering, book work, and garden maintenance. New Manor Volunteer training will be offered twice annually in the Manor House Billiard Room. Visit our events calendar for March and September dates. Manor House volunteers should be available at least two half-days each month. To show our appreciation volunteers are treated to annual recognition events where years of service are rewarded. To become a volunteer complete the volunteer application forms. For more information or to register for the training, call 269-671-2263. or e-mail manorhouse@kbs.msu.edu. |
