Spruce Lodge is located within the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary at 12685 East C Avenue, Augusta, MI 49060. To make a reservation or receive more information contact Conference@kbs.msu.edu or call 269-671-2400.

Spruce Lodge is available for rental for business meetings, social events including bridal or baby showers, rehearsal dinners, weddings or private parties.

The lodge has two floors; an upper level is 43' by 23' or 989 sq. ft. with tables, chairs, and fireplace and deck area overlooking the Sanctuary and Wintergreen Lake. The lower level is 32' by 23' or 747 sq. ft. has a kitchen with sink, regular size refrigerator and stove, gas fireplace, comfortable chairs and a couple of large banquet tables. There are men's and women's restrooms with two toilets each.

Rental opportunities:

Meetings with Full Service: $23.00 per person per calendar day includes Spruce Lodge rental fee, all day coffee/water service, standard AV equipment, morning and afternoon snack service each day. Please inquire about additional meal options.

Rental with No Services: $10.00 per person per calendar day. The lodge will be cleaned and set up with no additional services provided.

Social event with KBS Catering Services: Prices apply to all days of the week.

$10.00 per person per calendar day plus menu options (catering provided by Conference Center).

An 20% service fee and 6% sales tax will apply to all food and beverage served.

There is a minimum 20 people for plated dinners and buffets. View our menus.

Ceremony Only: $600.00

Restrictions – Not wheelchair accessible. There are steps outside entrance and an upper and lower level inside with stairs only.

Kellogg Bird Sanctuary (access) -

Rental includes access to the Sanctuary’s public area. If your group would like to visit the self-guided trail at the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, please check in first at the Resource Center Building as Lodge Guests. Grounds open from dawn to dusk every day.

The Resource Center is open:

May – November from 9:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday

May – November from 11:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday

October – April from 9:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday

October – April from 11:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
