QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be available for all 4 weeks of camp, June 25-29, July 9-13, 16-20, and 23-27 and for Camp Training June 20-22 and wrap up July 30-31.  New this year, Week 1 - June 25-29 will be Leadership Camp for 7th and 8th graders with a possible overnight on June 28.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Demonstrated experience working with children
  • Demonstrated interest in and/or working toward degree in biology, ecology, environmental science, environmental or science education, general education, or related field
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for Adult plus Child and Infant
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and ability to distinguish colors and sounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Additional qualification:

  • Lifeguard certification (helpful, but not necessary)

Qualifications:

  • Summer day camp runs for 4 weeks, June 25-29, July 9-13, 16-20, and 23-27.  New this year, Week 1 - June 25-29 will be Leadership Camp for 7th and 8th graders.  Weeks 2-4 will be for 1st – 6th graders.  Individuals can volunteer one or more sessions of camp, but a commitment to an entire week session is appreciated.  Required training Thursday, June 21 from 5 – 7 pm.  After training the volunteer schedule will be finalized for the summer.
  • Must be at least 14 years of age (entering high school freshman)
  • Interest in working with children and science and nature
  • Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for Adult plus Child and Infant helpful but not necessary
