A Man Devoted to Wildlife Conservation Throughout his 48-year career as a wildlife biologist at the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, Joe served as an informational resource for local and regional wildlife and conservation issues. He has shared his expertise in wildlife and waterfowl biology, habitat preservation and species restoration with thousands of people. Upon his retirement in 2006, KBS established the Joe Johnson Endowment Fund for Wildlife Conservation Fellowships to honor Joe’s lifetime dedication to wildlife conservation and education. This fund provides financial support for students who want to study and work with wildlife conservation and habitat preservation or restoration at KBS. At the time of Joe’s retirement, more than $60,000 had been collected for this scholarship. KBS invites you to contribute to this fund to help support Joe’s lifetime wildlife conservation commitment. |
